Budget airlines tend to be cheaper when travelling midweek, particularly outside of school / public holidays. To keep the cost of your holiday down, make the most of this, as our start and finish days are flexible, except at Christmas / New Year and Easter. To enjoy even greater savings, book your flights as soon as possible after they have been released by the airline for the season concerned - registering on the airline's website will often mean that you are e-mailed this information.

There are also a number of car hire brokers who will shop around the local operators for you to obtain the best deal, which can lead to further significant savings. If you do not plan to do much travelling or are planning a short break, beware of full / empty fuel arrangements when hiring a car, which means you will be charged for a full tank of fuel no matter how much you use - better to opt for full / full arrangements.

By utilising the above, you may be able to obtain flights for as little as £20 per person each way, and car hire from £10 per day. Using Casa Buena Vista, a week's holiday for two in March, April, May or October including flights and car hire could cost around £350 with two weeks costing under £600.
